This VR experience was heavily inspired by the theme of Post-Apocalyptic Societies/Civilizations. We drew upon inspiration from past World Wars, TV shows/Movies to create an environment based on what we think a post-apocalyptic world would be like years from now. We created an abandoned/destroyed environment with a small wooden shack room for the user to start in. For the experience, one of our main goals was to allow the user to interact with several objects/clues in the room to figure out what happened to the world and leave it up to their own interpretation. One of the main parts of our experience includes a sequence where the user walks toward a glowing syringe in the room which represents a drug that is heavily used by people in this post-apocalyptic world as a coping mechanism. This drug triggers a hallucination sequence where the user is supposed to be "reminiscing" on what the world used to be like. The audio of this sequence includes familiar sounds of children laughing, fireworks, traffic, birthday parties, family dinners, and every day life audios.

One of the broader meanings of this experience is also to allow the physical user to experience a world that is much different from our present society to in a sense also remind the user of the joys of every day life that we often take for granted.
